Overview:
Fumonisin is a metabolite produced by the genus Fusarium, which has acute and chronic toxicity, as well as species and organ specificity. Studies have found that high concentrations of Fumonisin can cause species specific acute toxicity symptoms in various livestock and experimental animals, such as equine leukomalacia syndrome, pig pulmonary edema, and sheep liver and kidney disease. It has also been found that Fumonisin may be associated with the development of esophageal and liver cancer in humans.
Application:
This immunoaffinity column can selectively adsorb fumarates (FB1, FB2, FB3) in the sample solution, thereby achieving highly targeted purification of the sample. The purified sample solution can be directly used for LC-MS/MS analysis or derivatized for HPLC analysis after nitrogen blowing and reconstitution. The combination of affinity column with LC-MS/MS and HPLC can achieve rapid determination, improve signal-to-noise ratio, and enhance the accuracy of the detection method.
Principle:
The basis of determination is antigen antibody reaction, where the antibody is connected to the column. After extraction and filtration, the sample slowly passes through the fumarate toxin immunoaffinity column, where the endotoxin binds to the antibody. Afterwards, the immunoaffinity column is washed to remove other unrelated substances that have not been bound. Wash fumarate toxin with eluent, then inject it into the analytical instrument or derivatize it and inject it into the analytical instrument for detection.
Features:
- High specificity, capable of enriching and purifying trace toxins.
- Penetrating plunger, easy to use, can pass through the column in 5-10 minutes.
- High accuracy, the addition recovery rate can reach 90% -110%.
- Widely used, it is the mainstream purification tool for official testing methods in various countries.
- Complies with the GB5009 series of toxin detection standards.
- Good stability, with a coefficient of variation of no more than 10% for repeated testing.
